Native Print, Now Available on Chrome OS

Chrome OS since launch has relied on Google Cloud Print and compatible printers to accomplish simple printing tasks, this changes now with the release of version 59.

Native Printing is now enabled, basically now you can connect directly to compatible printers on your network without the need for any cloud connection.

You will need to know the IP address of your printer and which protocol is supported by your printer, generally this will be IPP, for a complete walk-thru please checkout this Google FAQ:

It is important to note that this is not yet in the Admin Console so for large deployments you should continue to utilize Google Cloud Print, stay on the lookout for this to be added.
