Back in January, Newmind Group extended an invitation for students in Western Michigan University’s School of Education to join us at the MACUL conference (Michigan Association for Computer Users in Learning) and learn the ins and outs of the EdTech industry.
Alongside the Newmind Education team and our Teacher Fellows at MACUL 2016 in Grand Rapids, these students will explore the tools and techniques just on the horizon of what they’ll be working with as they begin their careers. Today, we’re pleased to announce the following two students as our Student Fellows for MACUL 2016:
Student EdTech Fellowship Winners
Area of Study: Early Childhood/Elementary Education
“I think the next 5 years will see more project-based learning in the classrooms. I also think that we won’t see any classrooms (that have the money to fund such resources) that don’t have computers or IPads.”
Area of Study: Secondary Ed, Integrated/Earth Science
“I believe that the influx of technological applications within education will lead to an increase in personalization over the next 5 years. This will allow students to learn at their pace and focus on what, within the context, they are interested in.”
We wanted to warmly congratulate our fellows who will be joining us at the conference, to explore the latest EdTech trends, attend sessions planned for the event, in addition to contributing to our blog with their own reflections!
If you’ll be attending MACUL in Grand Rapids this year, be sure to stop by and say hello at booth 510! We also want to thank everyone who who applied for the fellowship, and hope that after this experience we will have a chance for for future Fellowship opportunities together!
