Asus C302CA Samsung Plus/Pro Acer C731

The 2017 Consumer Electronics Show has come and gone and we saw the launch of several new Chromebooks, watch this space as we continue to review anything new available this year.

The first and directly tailored towards educational needs is the Acer 11" N7.  This is available in both touch and non-touch versions and is being touted to withstand up to 132 pounds of downward force on the lid, drops from heights up to 48″ and a spill-resistant keyboard that will drain away up to 11oz of fluid.  These will begin shipping towards the end of this month at $229 for the non-touch models click for more details

The next three models are a bit upstream in the pricing but would all make fantastic teacher units.

The first is the Asus C302A, this is a 12.5" version of their popular Flip model. This unit will start at $499 with Intel's M3 Processor's and 4GB of ram.  These will be hitting shelves in early February. To pre-order now click here

Lastly Samsung has two new models that will be launching this spring that also follow the design of the Asus Flip, both are a 360 degree model that can be used in tablet, tent, or laptop mode. The Plus will be launched first with a Rockchip processor and an integrated stylus that is stored in the base of the machine. It will retail for $449.99. The Pro will include a faster processor and more ram and will start at $549.99 launching a bit later in the spring. Head here to pre-order
